IAM Virtual College Fair

India Association of Minnesota (IAM) invites  High School students to attend the virtual College fair sessions. These are designed to help high school students (Sophomores to Seniors) through the college application process.

  • Oct 25th: Choosing a Major/Honors Program by Dr. Sarah Crawford

    Dr. Sarah Crawford


    Meet Dr. Sarah Crawford-Parker. Dr. Crawford-Parker has a broad background in creating innovative learning environments and cross-campus collaborations and has made a significant impact in the experiences and opportunities for a diverse population of KU students. She earned a Ph.D. in history of art in 2006 at KU, where she also completed a master’s degree in history of art. She has published and presented frequently on first-year education practices from a variety of perspectives, including student retention, teaching and inclusivity. We are delighted that Dr.Crawford-Parker is our last speaker at our College Fair event!

    Dr. Mary Klayder


    Meet Dr. Mary Barnes Klayder. Dr. Klayder brings over 33 years of teaching and mentoring experience to the Kansas University Honors Program, where she serves as a Faculty Fellow and a member of the Honors Advisory Board. A life-long Jayhawk, Klayder earned a BA in Art History, a BS in Language Arts, an MA in Educational Curriculum and Instruction, and her PhD in English all at KU. She currently co-chairs undergraduate studies in the KU English department. Dr. Klayder has received numerous accolades from KU students, including the Honor an Outstanding Progressive Educator (HOPE) Award, the Outstanding Woman Educator Award, the J. Michael Young Advising Award, and six Mortar Board Outstanding Educator Awards.  We cannot wait for her to share her expertise and wisdom with us on October 11th!

  • Sep 27th: Overview of College Application Process by Ms. Natasha Kothari

    Ms. Natasha Kothari:


    Meet Ms. Natasha Kothari. She has worked as an assistant director for 3 years at Clark University. Prior to moving to the east coast, Ms. Kothari did admission recruitment for the honors program at Kansas University. Ms. Kothari loves exploring the New England environment. She is ambitious, intelligent, and compassionate. Most importantly, she has ample experience with the college application process. We are truly honored to have her as our first speaker!
