IAM INTERNSHIP PROGRAM

WE ARE NOW ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR OUR 2026 INTERNSHIP PROGRAM. THE PROGRAM RUNS FOR THE CALENDAR YEAR FOR 2026.

The India Association of Minnesota (IAM) is excited to announce our 1-Year Internship Program, designed to provide high school students with invaluable hands-on experience in various aspects of community engagement and nonprofit management.
Our mission at IAM is to foster a vibrant Indian American community in Minnesota through three core pillars: Charity, Connections, and Culture.

As an intern, you will have the opportunity to contribute directly to these pillars and make a lasting impact on the 60,000+ Minnesotans of Asian Indian origin within our community.

Intern positions are unpaid. However, the experiences with the India Association of Minnesota will provide opportunities to give back to the community, network, build a portfolio and gain valuable professional and leadership skills. Certificates would be issued at the end of a successful term on the board.

2026 BOARD APPLICATION

We are no longer processing candidates for the start of 2026 Board. We will however continue to accept applications and contact you as Board / Committee positions open up throughout the year. Interested community members, with leadership experience in the community and passion for community service can continue to apply.

Our mission at IAM is to foster a vibrant Indian American community in Minnesota through three core pillars: Charity, Connections, and Culture.

IAM STUDENT SCHOLARSHIP AWARDS

The applications for Student Scholarship Awards open up a couple of months ahead of India Fest.

Achievement Award Categories:

 Category Description of Excellence
 General: Well rounded accomplishments, with primary focus on
Academic achievements
 Community Service/Civic Engagement:Contribution to the Community through leadership in
Community Service and Civic Engagements
 Entrepreneurial Leadership:Founder/Co-founder/Leader of an entity (non-profit/profit)
and/or demonstrated Leadership to promote an entity that
benefits the society at large
Arts & Sports:Achievements in any form of Cultural Arts or any Sport
