Advisory Council

The Trustee Advisory Council (TAC) is our long-term planning body that works to ensure the continued growth and success of IAM. TAC is dedicated to developing long-term strategic plans aimed to increase membership and revenue, improve effective operations, and to grow the IAM event and activity programs.



Babu Chimata served as IAM President 2015, Officer and Board of Director since 2011. During his tenure he has been instrumental in reorganizing IAM's Mission, Strategy for IAM's growth and its position among Minnesota non-profits, improving Civic & Government participation with the community, strengthening and expanding community engagement, building relationships with organizations & agencies through partnerships and improving financial strength through Grants & corporate sponsorships. He helped to increase IAM visibility through Branding, Marketing, Digital presence and streamlining operations.

Babu enjoys working with IAM as it provides to hone one's leadership skills, experience working in collaboration with other volunteers and get satisfaction of giving back to the community.

He has a Master's degree from University of St Thomas and works at CenturyLink as a Senior Leader. His passion is in social service, leadership and technology. In his spare time he likes to watch football and movies. He lives in Eden Prairie with his wife, two children and a dog.


AMIT Amit Kachru served as Treasurer and Officer in 2014 & 2015 and Board of Director since 2012. As an IAM officer, he was instrumental to work across multiple corporate diversity groups to create Connect Asia, lead India Fest and developed new revenue stream for IAM to fulfil its mission. Amit Kachru is currently Vice President Finance and Global Medtronic IT CFO. Prior to joining Global IT, Amit served as the CFO for the Pelvic Health business, and Finance leader for the $1.5B Heart Failure business. Amit’s work experiences include being a Medtronic Global Innovation Fellow to partner with Nobel Laureate Prof. Mohd. Yunus on a healthcare initiative, and creating an innovative Made-For-India patient financing solution to help people in India access Medtronic therapies. Amit is also an advisor to the Asian Impact @ Medtronic Twin Cities, and has served on the Carlson Executive MBA Board of Advisors. Amit has also been awarded the Medtronic Mission in Motion Extraordinary Team Award for his leadership. Amit holds a BBA degree in finance from Texas A&M University & an MBA from the University of Minnesota, Carlson School of Management. Amit is an avid cricket fan, likes listening to hindi music and is passionate about giving back to the community. He resides in Maple Grove, Minnesota with his wife, Bhavna and his teenage daughter, Anya. He is an active community leader and has been living in twin cities for over 20 years.

Sree Kamojjala served as IAM President for 2017, and Officer and Board of Director since 2011. is an IT leader currently working for a Health Care Insurance company and an active Board member for IAM since 2013. He is an active community leader and has been living in twin cities for last 17 years.

Sree served as an office bearer and volunteered for several non-profit organizations in the twin cities. In his capacity, Sree led, chaired and participated in various cultural and charitable activities on behalf of IAM. Sree is a big believer in giving back to the community and his passion for rich Indian culture and heritage has enabled him to serve the community at large.

Sree lives in North West suburbs with his wife Vishala and daughter Ruchika. He loves to play Volley Ball, Cricket, Tennis and watch Foot Ball in his spare time.

Ravi Sagi served as IAM President 2018, Officer and Board of Director since 2011. He worked with many regional organizations as outreach chair during his tenure at IAM and was instrumental in getting them closer to IAM by partnering with them. He is involved with many non profit organizations and believes in the philosophy of giving back to community. He also cofounded a regional organization, MATA (Minnesota Area Telangana Association), worked as its president and helped it become a strong regional organization. He has a master’s degree in management and works as an IT consultant. His passion is community service and volunteering. In his free time, he likes to play tennis, watch football and hangs out with friends. He lives in Eden Prairie with his wife and two children.

nag 01 Nag Bommareddy served as IAM President 2013 and as officer and Board of Director since 2010. As an IAM officer and President he had been instrumental in changing the course of IAM to revived membership base and to financial strength through corporate sponsorships. He had also influenced the change in working style of IAM officers and board that brought more collaborative work culture. Nag feels proud and fortunate that in his tenure as President, IAM hosted Honorable former President of India, Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam in Minnesota.

He enjoyed working in IAM board as it provides opportunity to - hone one's leadership skills, experience working in collaboration with other volunteers and get satisfaction of giving back to the community. Nag completed his Masters in Engineering from Texas A&M University in 1995 and had been working in Software development since then.

He currently works as BI Engineer at Target Corporation. He plays volley ball and tennis for fun and enjoys watching sports including cricket. He currently lives in Woodbury, MN with wife Sridevi and daughter Sailu.
