Ms. Mukta Tomar is the Consul General of India in Chicago since August 2010. As a Career Diplomat of the Indian Foreign Service she has held diplomatic assignments in Indian Embassies in Madrid, Kathmandu, Paris, and Yangon. Ms. Tomar is a Graduate of Kolkata University, India . She has also served at the Permanent Mission of India to the United Nations at New York. In the Ministry of External Affairs in New Delhi, Mrs. Tomar worked in the Americas Division. She has also headed the Investment & Technology Promotion & Economic Division in the Ministry.

Dr. Rajiv Aggarwal MD is a neurologist with Minneapolis clinic of Neurology in and specializes in Headaches, Dizziness and Sleep medicine. He obtained his Medical degree from the Armed Forces Medical College, Pune. India . He joined Internal Medicine residency program in East Lansing, MI in 1995 and moved to Henry Ford Hospital, Detroit to join Neurology program in 1996. He moved to Minneapolis in 1999. He is Board certified in Neurology and Sleep Medicine. He is a partner in Minneapolis Clinic of Neurology, the largest private practice group in Neurology.

Barb Peterson founded Emerson Consultants in 2003. She served as Director for SpineTech (Zimmer Spine) and as a Director of Reimbursement for several large US companies. Her experience includes successfully lobbying in the U.S. Congress for new federal legislation and working with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). Barb holds an MBA from the Univ. of St. Thomas, MN and a BS in Medical Technology from the Univ of Minnesota. Currently, she partners with numerous medical device, diagnostic, and biologic companies to help them achieve their business objectives through integrated reimbursement, regulatory, clinical, and market development strategies.

Mike Hess is the VP of Innovation Excellence at Medtronic. Mike is a Medtronic Technical Fellow, a member of the Bakken Society, and has about 25 issued patents and numerous publications. He has a BS in biomedical engineering from Case Western Reserve University and a MS in software engineering from the University of St. Thomas. Mike leads the Medtronic R&D council which is primarily focused on R&D productivity. Mike also leads actives focused on improving the culture of innovation and collaboration at Medtronic, emerging markets R&D, and serves as the primary sponsor of internal technical employee organizations.

Dr. Suja Roberts MD was drawn to women’s health in particular after seeing that women’s health needs are often ignored by society in general and women themselves, due to other priorities in their lives and a lack of resources. Dr. Roberts speaks English, Spanish, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Kannada. She is a graduate of Grant Medical College Bombay and is Fellow of the American college of Obstetrics and Gynecology and has a special interest in infertility, Uro-gynecology, minimally invasive surgery and Obstetrics.

Dr. Saurav Paul Ph.D., J.D. (Bio) is the Director of Innovation, Fellows Program at Medical Devices Center (MDC), University of Minnesota (UMN). He was earlier at St. Jude Medical (SJM) and the top inventor at Atrial Fibrillation Division, He has over 140 patents issued / pending worldwide. Dr. Paul has a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering and M.S. in Civil Engineering from UMN, M.S from Indian Institute of Science, India, He received his J.D. from William Mitchell College of Law, St. Paul, with an emphasis in Intellectual Property law and Medical Device Amendment. He spearheads efforts in building bridges between academia and the medical device industry, and creating intellectual partnerships across the globe
