Board Interns

GauriGauri Binoy a junior at Wayzata High School, Gauri Binoy feels honored and privileged to be a part of IAM which represents what India stands for,  “Unity in Diversity”. Being involved in IAM gives her the opportunity to volunteer in outreach programs at a macro level.  Her extracurricular activities include tennis, violin, Indian classical dancing, debate and Karate. She is also the founder of “Sahita”, an organization with a vision to help build and support communities around the globe. She has been actively involved in volunteering at Interfaith Outreach since seventh grade. Gauri hopes to be a part of IAM’s vision to serve as the focal point for advancing cultural, charitable, academic, political and professional interests of the Asian Indian community in Minnesota.

Ishan Ishan Chakravarty is a junior in high school. Ishan has been volunteering for IAM  for more than 5 years at various IAM events. It is an honor for him to take on a bigger role in this organization. Ishan wants to help with more IAM events and hopes to create more opportunities for kids to be involved with IAM. He has also volunteered for other Indian Non profit organizations like SILC and Vibha. He teaches young kids how to play cricket at SILC every Saturday. Ishan also plays for his school's varsity basketball team and participates in Debate, Speech, Newspaper, Yearbook Club, LINK Crew, and National Honor Society.  Ishan volunteers at Woodwinds Hospital every week. He also works at the YMCA as a summer camp counselor.
